Neymar - Worthy Aquisition?

Following on from his impressive performance against the mighty Scotland, many media outlets dug out stories suggesting that Roman was ready to bankroll another Brazilian purchase, this time in the form of 19 year old wonder kid Neymar. He did play well in the game, and it was revealed that last summer we did bid for the player himself, which of course was rejected. Gary Caldwell, the Wigan defender said after the game that he thought Neymar would be a success in the Premier League. And yet I can’t help to disagree. To me, he looks in every way except looks, to being another Robinho. Good when the sun shines, or when he feels like it.
Neymar would probably cost somewhere near to £30 million, which would look like a massive waste of money when Chelsea go to play Stoke away on a bitterly cold December evening game. I may be wrong, but for me if Roman does want to invest in a teenage striker, the get that Belgium kid dubbed the New Drogba, Romelu Lukaku.  This is a kid who would not only cost less, but would know exactly what to expect from playing in the Premier League. Someone who would slot quite comfortably into the way we play football. To me, it’s a no-brainer; I just hope that whoever does decide which players we buy at our club, that they are reading this blog. Or at least share my same opinion on the matter.
